CRM sync
Only team admins can open CRM sync, connect HubSpot or see the sync log.
What syncs
Section titled “What syncs”HubSpot is the only CRM you can connect. Once it’s connected, each follow-up anyone on your team marks as sent goes to HubSpot. For marking follow-ups sent, see Promises and next moves.
For each sent follow-up, met.cards:
- Finds the HubSpot contact with the connection’s email address, or creates one.
- Fills in the contact’s name, company, job title and phone from the connection. A field the connection doesn’t have is left as it is in HubSpot.
- Adds a note to the contact with the follow-up’s text.
A connection without an email address can’t be matched, so its follow-ups fail to sync. You can’t choose which fields are sent.
Connect HubSpot
Section titled “Connect HubSpot”- Select Connect HubSpot.
- Sign in to HubSpot and approve access.
- You’re sent back to CRM sync, which says “HubSpot connected.” and shows the Connected badge.
If it fails, you see “HubSpot connection failed. Try again.”
Pause, resume, disconnect
Section titled “Pause, resume, disconnect”- Pause sync: the badge reads Paused. Follow-ups marked sent while paused are skipped, and they aren’t sent later.
- Resume sync: follow-ups marked sent from now on sync again.
- Disconnect: removes the HubSpot connection after you confirm. Later follow-ups aren’t synced, and the badge reads Not connected.
The sync log
Section titled “The sync log”Under the connection, three counters cover the log entries loaded on the page: how many synced, how many failed, and the time since the last run.
The log lists each attempt, newest first:
- When: the time today, or the date before today.
- State: ok or fail.
- Connection: a short ID of the met.cards connection the follow-up was for.
- Detail: the HubSpot note ID for a success, or the error for a failure. A retry shows its attempt number, such as ×2.
A failed attempt is retried automatically, up to 5 attempts in all, when the error might clear. A missing email address, or a request HubSpot rejects outright, isn’t retried. Select Load more to see older entries.
