Getting started

met.cards gives you a digital business card, captures the people you meet, and keeps a memory of every conversation so you know what you promised and who to reconnect with.

  1. Open met.cards/signup. Enter your full name, email and a password of at least 8 characters, choose Just me or My team, then select Continue.
  2. Claim your card link, then select Create my card. For a team, set up the team and select Create team.
  3. You are signed in and land on the welcome flow.

Signing up creates your first card, and the welcome flow, three steps, fills it in. Each step can be skipped, and the card stays valid either way.

  1. Here’s your card: add your job title and company, then select Looks right.
  2. Add a couple of blocks: keep or drop the suggested blocks, then select Continue. Or add a Phone, Address, Link or Text block, which opens the card editor.
  3. Try it on someone: let them scan the code, or hold your phone near theirs. Select Done, or Skip for now, to finish.

You then land on Home. To change the card later, open My cards, choose the card and select Save when you are done. Changes apply as soon as you save: there is no separate publish step.

Your card’s public address depends on your account. A personal account’s default card lives at your handle alone, https://met.cards/<handle>. A team card lives at https://met.cards/<workspace>/<card>.

  • QR code: open the card’s share sheet and let the other person scan the code.
  • Link: copy the card’s address from the share sheet, or send it with the share buttons.
  • NFC: tap a programmed met.cards NFC tag or card against their phone.

When someone opens your card they can save your contact and send you theirs. Their details appear in Connections.
